WELCOME to the Soft Memories free recipe area. Please note that the primary
recipes in our database are those of Modern Priscilla. The 1924 edition has
already been entered in its entirety. The pages in the book offering
instructions and suggestions have been entered in their respective categories
as "Facts to Remember". On some pages the related categories and
recipes are shown directly to the right. The 1930 edition is still in process. And of course, all
these recipes were tried and approved in the Modern Priscilla Proving Plant. Unfortunately, the Modern Priscilla cookbooks contain no images. Any recipes entered from other sources are differentiated by the parent
category being presented in all caps. For example: VINTAGE - FLEISCHMANN'S YEAST. The
Fleischmann recipes currently entered are from booklets printed in 1916
through 1920. We hope to post more as time goes by.Oven temperatures in old recipes often call for a "quick" or "moderate" oven. We found a posting on the forum at www.cheftalk.com for oven temperatures in today's kitchens, and for your convenience have posted that information below: |
|
