2 cups flour (bread)
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
About 3/4 cup of milk and water, half and half
Mix and sift dry ingredients, work in shortening, add liquid gradually, making a dough as soft as can be handled. Turn on to a floured board, pat and roll to about one-half inch in thickness, cut, place in a pan, and bake in a hot oven. Time in oven, 15 minutes. Temperature, 450°.
