Ingredients

4 eggs
1 pint bread dough
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup flour
3 tablespoons melted butter or lard

Cooking Instructions

Work the eggs into the dough one at a time, stir in the sugar, flour, and the melted shortening, then set the dough to rise until light. Work it again and drop into muffin-pans, brush over with beaten egg and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake until a nice brown in a moderately hot oven. Time in oven, 20 minutes. Temperature, 375°.
