Ingredients

1-1/2 or 2 pounds steak
Salt and pepper
4 tablespoons flour

Cooking Instructions

Spread steak on board and rub well with seasonings. Pound as much flour as possible into it—about four tablespoons. Place in covered casserole, with enough water to cover, and simmer in a moderate oven until tender. Time in oven, 4 hours. Temperature, 325°.
