Pecan Nut Bread: Date Added: 9 Jun 2009

Ingredients

1/2 cup corn meal
1-1/2 cups white bread flour
1-3/4 cup graham flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sweet milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 cup chopped pecan meats

Cooking Instructions

Combine the flours and add baking powder and salt. Then sift. Add other ingredients to flour, beat well. Pour into a loaf tin, and bake in a moderate oven. A half cup of chopped dates or raising may be added to this bread if desired. Time in oven, 1 hour. Temperature, 350°
