1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg 1 cup sour milk
2 cups pastry flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 squares chocolate

Cooking Instructions

Cream shortening and add sugar gradually. Add egg, beaten very light, the sour milk, the flour, mixed ad sifted with remaining dry ingredients, flavoring, and melted chocolate. Bake in a sheet in a moderate oven. Frost with Chocolate Mocha Frosting. Time in cooking, 30 minutes. Temperature, 350 degrees.
