Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
4 egg whites
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla (or a few drops almond extract)
1-1/2 cups pastry flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup currants and finely cut citron


Cooking Instructions

Combine ingredients in order given and bake in an angel cake pan in a moderate oven. Fill the hole in the centre with whipped cream mixed with bits of marshmallows, and frost the whole with white frosting.  Time in cooking, 1 hour.  Temperature, 350 degrees.
