1 cup sliced onion
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
Put the vegetables in layers in a greased baking dish. Place the butter in small bits over the top; pour over the water in which salt has been dissolved. Bake in moderate oven, having dish tightly covered. Time in oven, 2 hours. Temperature, 325°. Servings, 6
