Cheese Blanc-Mange: Date Added: 12 Jun 2009

Ingredients

2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated American cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

Wet the cornstarch and stir smooth with a little milk. Add the remainder of the milk, and cook until it begins to thicken, stirring constantly. Add the cheese, salt, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until the cheese is well melted and the blanc-mange thick enough to mold. Have ready four small molds wet with cold water and pour in the mixture. When cold serve on lettuce with mayonnaise and a dash of paprika. Servings, 4
