2 to 4 tablespoons cocoa
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
Pinch salt
1/2 cup water
1 quart milk
Mix cocoa, sugar and salt and combine with the water, which may be either hot or cold, to make a smooth paste. Boil for three minutes. Add milk which has been scalded and blend thoroughly. Beating with a rotary egg beater will prevent the formation of scum. Makes about 1 quart.
