1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups cake or pastry flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Cream the butter and add the sugar gradually. Add the egg yolks and mix thoroughly. Add the flour and baking powder sifted together. Mix thoroughly. Shape with a cooky press or mold into slightly flattened balls and dip tops in unbeaten egg white, then in granulated sugar. Bake in a moderately hot oven. Time in baking, 15 minutes. Temperature, 375°. 4 dozen cookies.
