1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
4 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
I teaspoon salt
Marmalade
Cream shortening and sugar, add well beaten eggs, milk, and sifted dry ingredients. Roll out to one-quarter inch thickness and cut with circular cutter. Place a tablespoon of marmalade on each half, wet edges, fold over and press together. Fry in deep fat. Time in cooking, 3 minutes each. Temperature of fat, 380°. Servings, 36
