2 cups milk
3 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup cream
1 tablespoon vanilla
Scald the milk. Beat the eggs and add to them the sugar and salt. Pour the hot milk on gradually and cook in a double boiler, stirring constantly, until the mixture coats the spoon. Cool and add the cream, whipped until stiff, and the vanilla. Pack in ice and salt and freeze. Serves 8.
