6 apples (medium size)
1/2 cup sugar and
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon mixed
1 cup fruit (cherries, peaches or dates)
Pastry
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons sugar
Pare and core apples, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and fill with fruit. Roll out pastry dough into thin sheets, cut in squares; then wrap an apple in each square. Dip in egg and roll in chopped nuts and sugar. Bake in a moderately hot oven. Serve with cream.
