1 quart milk
1/2 cup corn meal
1 cup molasses
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dried figs
1/2 cup puffed raisins
Scald the milk, add corn meal and cook in a double boiler for fifteen minutes. Add remaining ingredients, and bake in a greased baking dish in a slow oven.
Time in baking, 4 hours. Temperature, 300°. Serves 8.
