6 small bananas
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup canned red cherries
3 tablespoons butter
Remove skins from bananas, cut in halves lengthwise, and arrange in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar, cover with cherries, and dot over with bits of butter. Bake in a hot oven until bananas are soft, basting occasionally with cherry juice.
Time in oven, 30 minutes. Temperature, 400°. Servings, 6
