1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
1 lemon
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Mix the dry ingredients, add the slightly beaten egg yolks, the juice and grated rind of the lemon, and the water. Cook in a double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Add the butter. Enough for 1 cake.
