Butter Frosting: Date Added: 10 Aug 2009

2 to 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups confectioners' sugar
Pinch salt
1 egg
Flavoring to taste

Cooking Instructions

Work the butter through the sugar. Add the salt and beaten egg and beat until very creamy. Add the flavoring and spread on the cake. This recipe may be varied by adding coffee, cocoa, or maple flavor. It may also be colored. Enough for 1 large cake.
