2 squares chocolate
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt chocolate and mix with sugar. Add milk, place on stove and stir until sugar is dissolved. Bring to the boiling point and boil without stirring until a little tried in cold water forms a soft ball (236°). Add butter, cool until lukewarm and add vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread on cake. Enough for 1 cake.
