1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Beat eggs well and add milk. Add flour and salt which have been sifted together. Beat until foamy and free from lumps. Pour into very hot, well greased heavy muffin pans or earthenware cups and bake until puffed and firm, starting with a hot oven and reducing the heat for the last part of the baking. Time in baking, 45 minutes. Temperature, 450°, 25 minutes; 300°, 20 minutes. 6 large popovers.
