Ingredients

1/4 cup bread crumbs
6 tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Butter

Cooking Instructions

Select firm, ripe tomatoes and remove stem end. Scoop out the pulp, and drain off most of the liquid. Add the bread crumbs, salt and pepper to the pulp. Refill the tomatoes with this mixture. Place in a buttered pan, cover with buttered bread crumbs and bake twenty minutes in a hot oven.
