1 cup white flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted shortening
2 tablespoons molasses
2/3 cup milk
Mix dry ingredients and add shortening, molasses, and milk to make a rather soft batter. Beat well and bake in rings on a griddle, filling the rings half full. Time in cooking, 25 minutes. Servings, 12
