1 cup dried apricots
1 cup dried prunes
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup citron, chopped
1 orange (juice)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup almonds, chopped
1 cup sugar
Pastry
Pour boiling water over the apricots and prunes. Drain, cover with cold water and let stand three hours. Remove skins from apricots and stones from prunes, and cook in the water in which they were soaked, until the water is nearly cooked away. Then mix with the other fruits, spices, nuts, and sugar. Bake between two crusts in a hot oven. Time in baking, 30 minutes. Temperature,425°. 2 pies.
