2 squares chocolate
2 cups milk
5 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup sugar
Pinch salt
1 tablespoon butter or max-
2 eggs
Baked pastry shell
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt chocolate, add milk gradually, stirring constantly until smooth, and heat in a double boiler. Mix flour, sugar and salt, and add to the milk. Stir until thickened and then cook for fifteen minutes. Add eggs, slightly beaten, and cook three minutes longer. Add butter, cool slightly and add vanilla. Put into a baked pastry shell. Serve cold with whipped cream or cover with meringue and brown in a moderate oven.
