Ingredients

3 eggs
5 tablespoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Nutmeg
Pastry

Cooking Instructions

Beat the eggs slightly and add sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla. Strain into a pie plate, lined with pastry which has been thoroughly chilled. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Put into a hot oven and after ten minutes reduce the temperature to moderate. Time in baking, 10 minutes, 400°; 30 minutes, 350°.
