1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 eggs
1 cup dark molasses
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Pastry
Cream the sugar and butter, add well beaten egg yolks. When well blended, add molasses, nutmeg and stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in pan lined with rich pastry until firm, having the oven hot for ten minutes, then reducing to moderate. Temperature, 450° for 10 minutes; 325° for 40 minutes.
