1-1/2 cups crumbs
2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Jelly
1 stiffly beaten egg white
2 tablespoons sugar
Mix crumbs, milk, sugar and salt, and cook in a double boiler 15 minutes. Add egg yolk and vanilla. Pour into a greased baking dish and cool. Spread with jelly and dot with meringue made with the stiffly beaten egg white and sugar. Put in a moderate oven until a nice brown. Time in oven, 20 minutes. Temperature, 325°. Servings, 6
