1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
4 egg yolks
Grated rind of 1 orange
1/4 cup milk
7/8 cup cake or pastry flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Cream shortening, add sugar. Add well beaten egg yolks and orange rind. Add milk alternately with flour and baking powder which have been sifted together. Bake in cup cake pans in a moderately hot oven. Cut the cakes in three slices and put together with Fruit Filling. Frost with Boiled Frosting. Time in baking, 25 minutes. Temperature, 375°. 12 cakes.
