Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1-1/2 cups sugar
4 egg yolks
1 egg white
2-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cooking Instructions

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream together. Beat egg yolks and whites well and add to first mixture. Mix and sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavorings. Turn into individual pans and bake in a moderate oven. Frost with boiled frosting, using whites of eggs in frosting. Decorate, with maraschino cherries. Time in oven, 15 minutes. Temperature, 350°. Servings, 15.
