6 egg whites
2/3 cup powdered sugar
4 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup flour
1/3 teaspoon salt
Beat egg whites until stiff and dry, add gradually powdered sugar, and continue the beating. Beat yolks of eggs until thick and lemon-colored, fold into first mixture then add vanilla and fold in flour mixed with salt. Shape close together on an unbuffered paper placed on a tin sheet, using a pastry-bag and tube. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and bake in a moderate oven.
Time in oven, 8 minutes. Temperature, 325°. Servings, 20
