Nut Cup Cakes: Date Added: 10 Aug 2009

Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup nut meats
4 eggs
2 cups cake or pastry flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk

Cooking Instructions

Cream shortening and add sugar gradually. Add the nut meats which have been coarsely chopped, the well beaten eggs, and then the flour, sifted with baking powder and salt, alternately with the milk. Bake in small pans in a moderate oven. Time in baking, 20 minutes. Temperature, 350°. 3 dozen small cakes.
