4 ounces cream cheese
1-1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons melted shortening
Mash the cream cheese with a fork, add milk slowly, and stir until well blended. Add well beaten eggs and the flour, salt and baking powder, sifted together. Add the melted shortening and beat well. Cook in a hot waffle iron. Makes 4 large waffles.
